Hi, I'm Mashfia. I've recently graduated from UGA with my Master of Social Work with a micro concentration. I've earned my Bachelors of Social Work from Georgia State University. I have experience working with people without homes and can help them with resources in the community. I have prior experience in DBT in the setting of intensive outpatient programs, partial hospitalization patients. I can work with both adults and adolescents that have difficulty regulating their emotions and present with life threatening behavior. I also have experience with Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault survivors from my Direct Services Liaison position. I've had an array of experiences with different populations, including behavioral and emotional dysregulation issues, as well as having a special competency with South Asian culture. I can help clients navigate stigmas of the culture. I am fluent in Bangla and can provide therapy in English or in Bangla. I see people on a sliding scale or a reduced rate.
I hope I can be a part of your journey toward healing. I'm proud of you for taking the first step!
